Firsts! New Year, New Blog, New Baby Program…

Welcome!  With the start of the Chinese New Year, my long-standing resolution to blog is officially a reality.  Grand plans are in the works for this space!  Of course, lots of personal photos–especially with Didi (our soon-to-arrive son, whose Chinese nickname of “Little Brother” is so firmly affixed he may never know his given name) joining the family.  You can also watch for beautiful weddings, adorable kids, and sweet newborns.  And, occasionally, some fun details (products, promotions, etc.) about the business, too!

It’s my pleasure to have three-month-old Rose grace the first entry.  She’s a special baby in so many ways–the first daughter of some dear friends, among the most beautiful little girls I’ve yet seen (check out her blue, blue eyes), and easily the most well-coiffed baby I’ve yet to photograph!

She’s also the inaugural member of my new Zemler Wu Photography Baby Program.  This is already Rose’s second portrait session; the first was when she was just a newborn.  We’ll continue photographing her when she’s six months and one year old.  Already, the changes are so evident…  I’ve also included some favorites from her earlier session below.  The Baby Program offers a creative way to capture all the amazement the first year holds in store!

At the end, Rose and her family will complete the Baby Program with an heirloom album featuring images through the full year.  And after each session, they have updated portraits to share with their friends and family.  Plus, participants receive four private sessions and an album, at a price that would typically just cover the book!  It’s an absolutely fantastic shower or new-baby gift–a treasure that will last much longer than the clothes and gear that are are so quickly outgrown.  And it’s such a thrill for me as a photographer to truly be a witness to the lovely changes the baby and parents experience through the year.  Please get in touch if you have (or know) a new baby who should join the club!

[...] in the Zemler Wu Photography Baby program, she’s now on her third portrait session with me.  Take a look back in the archives; if you had any doubt how much babies change in the first year, Rose can set your mind straight.  [...]
