In the Chinese calendar, we’ve just entered the Year of the Tiger. We’re most excited about this, as our new baby boy’s zodiac sign will be the tiger, just like his YeYe (grandfather, Sherman’s dad). YeYe knew about the impending arrival before he passed away last summer, and we hope that our little guy will share some of the “tiger” qualities that were also present in his grandfather: courage, resilience, intelligence, far-sightedness, and the ability to always land on his feet! (Okay, so this last one we hope will only need to be figurative, at least for the first little bit!)
Our dearest Ryah, was born in the Year of the Pig, like her NaiNai (grandmother, Sherman’s mom). But she did play the part of a tiger for Halloween earlier this year. Since I was woefully remiss in sharing her photos last year, I’m going to take the excuse to post these (slightly outdated) now!
