Our son, Elliot Tian-Xiang Zemler Wu, was born at the Cambridge Birth Center on Wednesday morning, March 24, 2010 at 5:32 a.m. Sherman and I were just thrilled to meet him, and to find him a healthy 8 pounds, 5 ounces and 20.75 inches long. He’s a gorgeous boy, with a full head of dark hair and deep dark eyes… my first thought was that he looks just like Sherman–a sentiment with which my mother-in-law (and pretty much everybody else who has met him) concurs. Ryah is doing wonderfully as a big sister. It’s certainly a big change for her, but she’s very loving and gentle with Elliot. His nickname, Didi (Chinese for little brother), is definitely still sticking.
Here are a few of the first photos of Elliot, from his birthday last Wednesday and his first full day at home on Thursday. He’s “scheduled” with me for his first real photo session later today… so more photos to come later this week!
